Why You Should Choose A Private Tutor For Math Subjects

Math classes can be tough, especially if you need a bit of extra assistance. Professors and teachers are busy and often difficult to find. Teaching assistants are buried under a mountain of work, and they may lack the skills to teach you in a way that resonates. You have a life, other classes, and maybe a job, and you can’t just run all over campus searching for help.

Private math tutoring is the perfect solution. You don’t need to be a math genius. You just need a tutor who understands the way you learn. Whether you are studying Algebra or Differential Equations, preparing for the SAT or trying to get AP credit, tutoring may be the solution.

Meet Math Tutor Brian Ricks

I am a chemical engineer who spent more than a decade in the tech sector. I began tutoring in high school. Three years ago, I decided to leave engineering in favor of full-time tutoring. I have always been passionate about math, and I found that tutoring others helped me hone my own skills.

After graduating from high school as valedictorian, I majored in chemical engineering at Clarkson University. I continued tutoring during college, and I graduated at the top of my major. During grad school at Tufts University, I served as a teaching assistant. I also worked as a scientist and engineer, primarily in surface chemistry, clean energy, thermal analysis, and measurement techniques.

After graduation, I moved to San Diego and continued tutoring while interviewing for engineering jobs. I was highly successful as a tutor, bringing in more and more students each week. This led me to give up engineering to tutor full-time, and I launched Bricks Tutoring in 2015. After coming to New York in 2018, I relaunched my company here.

I can help you learn more in less time, reducing your stress levels and boosting your results. You can ace that exam, pass that class, or earn the STEM degree you always wanted. Your hard work, paired with my experience and skills, will get you through even the toughest math courses.
