Physics classes can be rough, especially if you need a bit of extra help. Professors and teachers are busy and can be tough to track down. Teaching assistants are buried under mountains of paperwork, and they may not have the teaching skills to offer the specific assistance you need. You have other classes, competing obligations, and maybe a job, and you don’t have time to run all over campus hoping to find some help.
 
Private tutoring can be an excellent solution. You don’t have to be a math and science genius to pass physics. You just need a tutor who can explain the material in the way that suits you best.

Meet Brian

I am a chemical engineer with more than a decade of experience in the tech sector. I have been tutoring since high school, and I made the decision three years ago to leave engineering in favor of full-time tutoring. I have always had a passion for math and science, and I found that tutoring helped me improve my own skills.

 

I graduated from high school as valedictorian, and I majored in chemical engineering at Clarkson University. I continued to tutor throughout college, and I graduated at the top of my major. I was a teaching assistant while attending grad school at Tufts University. I also worked as a scientist and engineer, primarily in clean energy, surface chemistry, thermal analysis, and measurement techniques.

 

After graduate school, I relocated to San Diego, where I continued tutoring while searching for an engineering job. My tutoring practice grew quickly, with new students coming to me each week. I soon decided to tutor full-time, and I launched Bricks Tutoring in 2015. After moving to New York in 2018, I relaunched my company in the city.

Physics Tutoring Rates, Hours, and Locations

​

My hours are Sunday through Thursday from 10am until 10pm.
 
One student: $60 for the first hour and $40 per additional hour
Two students: $80 for the first hour and $40 per additional hour
Three students: $90 for the first hour and $60 per additional hour
 
Please note that I have a one hour minimum, and I require payment at the end of each session. I accept cash, checks, and credit cards.
 
I will meet you at your home, in a coffee shop, on campus, or wherever you like for tutoring sessions in NYC, Brooklyn and Queens.
